The objective of this project is to contextualize accountability within a political analytical framework within the long-term care (LTC) sector that is publically funded and publically delivered. This project will look at the accountability structures that are currently in place for 10 long term care homes that are operated by the City of Toronto, and funded by Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs).
This research project will be grounded in qualitative research paradigms and will utilize case study methodology, consisting of the following components:
- Content analysis and review of documents
- Semi-Structure Interviews with key stakeholders

Ethics approval obtained from the City of Toronto Long Term Care Homes and Services Key Informant Interviews are underway.
